The Story of the Innocent Girl and the Miracle of Imam Ali (AS)
Long ago, in an Arab tribe, there lived ten brothers who had one beloved sister. They cherished her deeply and treated her like a precious gem. One day, they told her: *"Dear sister, whatever blessings God gives us, we will share with you—but please, never marry. Our honor cannot bear the thought of you belonging to another."* The kind and obedient sister agreed, dedicating her life to serving her brothers.
### The Strange Incident at the Spring
One day, after her monthly cycle, the sister went to a spring to bathe. As she sat in the water, a small leech secretly attached itself to her body and entered her womb. Over time, the leech grew, making her belly swell—as if she were pregnant!
### The False Accusation
When the brothers noticed, they were furious. *"You betrayed us!"* they shouted. *"How could you be pregnant without marriage?!"* The poor girl wept and swore her innocence, but they refused to believe her. Some insisted, *"We must kill her!"* But others proposed: *"Let’s take her to Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS)—he will deliver God’s judgment."*
### Imam Ali’s (AS) Miracle
When they brought the girl to Imam Ali (AS), he calmly said: *"Bring me a basin filled with mud."* He then instructed the girl to sit over it. Suddenly, the leech slipped out of her body and into the mud! Everyone gasped in shock. Overwhelmed, the brothers cried: *"O Ali! You are our Lord! You know the unseen!"*
But Imam Ali (AS) gently corrected them: *"No, I am but a servant of God. It was the Prophet (SAW) who informed me this would happen today, at this very hour."*
### Lessons from the Story
1. Never Rush to Judgment: What we see isn’t always the truth. Investigate before accusing.
2. Justice of Imam Ali (AS): He always defended the innocent.
3. Miracles of the Ahlul Bayt: God grants His chosen ones divine knowledge to reveal the truth.
4. Excessive "Honor" is Dangerous: The brothers’ extreme pride blinded them to their sister’s innocence.
The Ending
After this incident, the brothers repented and begged their sister’s forgiveness. She forgave them, and peace returned to their lives. This story proves that Imam Ali (AS) was not just the sword of justice—but also the savior of the oppressed.
