In the name of Allah

Let's get on the time machine and continue the story that was left

From where we left off, Fatima was killed and the caliphate and leadership were usurped from Ali, and all the efforts that Ali made to remember Ghadir were unsuccessful, and Abu Bakr became the first caliph for two years, then after him, he made Umar ibn al-Khattab the caliph of the Muslims. During the time of Umar, all the hadiths of the Prophet were burned, and no hadith from the Prophet was allowed to be published, and many of the laws of Islam were changed.

Umar ibn al-Khattab ruled for ten years and was eventually killed by a certain person. Then a six-member council was formed and from Imam Ali and Uthman, Uthman was elected the caliph of the Muslims.

Uthman was very aristocratic and distributed the treasury among his relatives, and many of the laws were changed again. Uthman gave governorships to those whom the Prophet had exiled, and finally, due to the dissatisfaction of the people, they attacked his house and killed him, and Uthman ruled for 12 years. During all these 25 years, Imam Ali advised the Prophet in all fields so that his efforts would not be in vain and the religion of Islam would not be destroyed. It was Imam Ali who gave logical answers to the questions of people who came from other religions to learn about Islam. Whenever they hesitated in making a decision, it was Ali who helped them.

And Imam Ali himself, in 25 years, created many farms and palm groves and dug many water wells, but he himself lived very simply and donated his income to the poor.

Until Uthman was killed and the people all invited Imam Ali to accept the government.

Imam Ali said to the crowd that had gone to his house to elect him as the ruler, "Many changes have occurred in these 25 years. If I become a ruler, I will rule according to the Sunnah of the Prophet and the true laws of Islam. Many of you who have been spending the public treasury unjustly for many years may not like it." But the people said, "O Ali, we accept that you rule according to the Sunnah of the Prophet." And the Imam agreed and changed the capital from Medina to Kufa. Talha and Zibar, who were companions of the Prophet for many years, but after the Prophet's death, they had become busy accumulating wealth, came to Imam Ali and said, "O Ali, we have helped you in achieving the government. Now we expect you to give us the governorship of one of the provinces." They faced strong opposition from Imam Ali, and for this reason, under the pretext of Hajj, they left the city and planned a war with Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, which was the Battle of Camel, which I will discuss in detail in the future.

Imam Ali was implementing justice in the Islamic lands, and for this reason, the ruler of Syria, Muawiyah, son of Abu Sufyan, was dismissed from the government.

Muawiyah had been appointed as the ruler of Syria by Uthman, and Muawiyah was doing injustice to the people of Syria and did not observe the rules of Islam, and for this reason, he was dismissed by Imam Ali. But Muawiyah did not agree to step down from the government, and for this reason, he prepared an army and came to fight Imam Ali, which was called the Battle of Siffin. I will explain more about it in the future.

And the third war that occurred was between Imam Ali and the Khawarij. The Khawarij were those who were extreme in their religion and became a group that rebelled against Imam Ali, and a war called the Khawarij occurred, which I will mention in a future part.

Imam Ali ruled for about five years and gave many speeches to the people, which were collected in a book called Nahjul-Balagha. I will definitely post some of his short speeches to you.

But let me tell you about Imam Ali's personal life, he became very rich due to the efforts he had made in those 25 years, and after Fatima, he married her and had children from those wives.

In the month of Ramadan, when Imam Ali was going to the mosque for morning prayer, while he was in prostration, he was hit on the head by Ibn Muljam with a sword sharpened with deadly poison and he was in bed for two days until he was martyred.

When he fell ill, the orphans of Kufa only found out who was the one who secretly brought them provisions at night.

When Imam Ali passed away, all the people were sad and he had bequeathed to his son Imam Hassan, "Give him only one blow to execute Ibn Muljam, because he only gave me one blow."

Today, the Shiites are mourning for Imam Ali and they have built a large mosque for him in Najaf.

He was a man of justice, kindness and courage.
